Heart Conversation

“I feel tired” I said to my heart.

“You are supposed to feel this way” it replied.

“I know, I know. I agreed to let it all come up and I also agreed to allow myself to feel it all even when it is excruciating but I am, I mean, I feel tired” I explained.

“You are supposed to feel this way” it replied.

“Aren’t you tired?” I asked.

“When you feel sad, I feel it too. When you feel fear, I feel it too. Now that you are, I mean, you feel tired, I feel it. It is my job to feel”

“But I am tired of feeling it. I am tired of feeling all these emotions” I said

“Will it ever stop? Will all these feelings, the fear, the sadness, the anger; will they ever stop?” I asked but It did not reply.

“I am asking you. Will these emotions ever end?”

“My job is to feel, to feel everything that comes up, the fear, the sadness, the anger, the exhaustion… now I feel doubt”

“Yes, so do I”
